Rummenigge praises CFA

Across the board in English football the academy setups are getting better and better, especially at Premier League level.

I still think we are behind regarding coaching, young player management and giving youth the chance.

I agree it's going to take a few years to all come together though

Agree.

I think as proved with Chelsea winning the UEFA Youth League last season English academy football is getting better.

With the champions of the relative u19/u18 leagues now entering into the UEFA Youth League on top of the academy teams of the qualified senior teams to the Champions League I think that competition is going to provide a real benchmark to which league/ teams are leading the way in Europe regarding academy development at the level just before a player should be starting to look to break through.

The way we manage young players in this country is poor and is arguably of most concern. Young players can become millionaires before the age of 21 in academies in England nowadays I think, the loan system is flawed and even not many mid-to-lower level Premier league teams are now arguably favouring the finished article over the young promising player because they have the money to do so.
