no just you.. because you put an emphasis on you in your previous post. I get the feeling you did this because you have a superiority complex and I was just trying to bring you down a peg.

I still stand by my insult, prove me wrong.

I emphasised you to see if anyone, you included sdavros would come up with a dead certain fact of why Villa isn't going to sign? I stick by my statement that you (now referring personally) and others don't know for a fact that he won't it's just opinion. Keep your mind open to what could just as much happen as not happen is not 'having your head in the clouds'.

Now stop pussyfooting, going off on your insult tangent and answer the question.

I don't have dead certain facts. I made an educated guess, stuck my neck out, and stated that Villa will not be coming to City this transfer window. Well the one certain fact I have that he won't be coming is that there is a lack of certain facts saying that he will be signing. Just a load of hot air and conjecture. I prefer to live in realism land and not get caught up in these fantasy football transfers.

Also, what might be contrived as a dead certain fact, is the fact, that we signed Bellers and are putting bids in left, right and centre for Roque Santa Cruz. Well doumented and acknowledged by Hughes, Cook and the club.

Nothing, absolutely nothing has come from the club as regards any dealings with Villa. All we have are these I know a bloke stories. Bollox. Come now. It's your turn. Give me a dead certain fact why you think it's going to happen?
Valencia in desperate money trouble

Tamargo being at City when we played Forrest

Villa came off against Bilbao when the game was wide open - ended up losing 3-2

Villa came off in the next game with cramp

Didn't play the last game because of 'cramp'

Valencia releasing stories saying he's not for sale, then releasing one after they received their windfall of money saying 'anything can happen' (despite the money, they are in big trouble)

Plus a few more reasons...

I cant believe how persistant this TFM (Toffeesforme) guy is on citymancs - it almost leads me to believe there is an element of truth in it - surely a man cant be that sad as to post all the time, send in pictures and write essay long replies to websites....
or can they?

I really am 50 50 on this one

TBH i don't give a fuck about tofeesforme and his posts.

Personally i still expect us to do some sort of business with Valencia based on their dire financial situation, their most saleable asset is Villa followed by Silva and as such there has to be a possibility that we will sign one or both - because Valencia need to sell then there is only one club they want to sell to which is City as we will pay them more than any other club in the world.

simple really.

??? Why'd you pull this one out Pam?

It's gonna take a brave player( big world star type) to sign for us after the unbelievably negative media reaction to the Kaka affair.
The press would be full of shite about how this player "doesn't have the moral fortitude of Kaka" or " it's only for the money" , the player would be pilloried for joining such a " small club" etc etc etc.
We all know that other clubs have spent huge sums but the press continue to act as if big outlays for players is something we invented in 2009.
I honestly believe that when we've managed to get the first true world star in ( not counting Robinho) then others will definitely follow, getting the first one in will not prove easy though & i just hope the player has a broad back to put up with all the media shit that will certainly follow.

i agree which is why Kaka would have opened so many doors so to speak.

one thing worth noting though is that our league position has vastly improved since december and we don't look like such a shit option now.

Agreed that the next big name player will have to take some crap but when they are one over 100k a week i would just start laughing at them.
And next season city are going to be a force in the premier league so its only a matter of time when the big name players come

Could be a slightly different reaction from the media , as there is always the
'I have moved to save the club I love' - angle ?? .
