I read this thread every day, and am never put out by a noticeable abundance of Brexit posts. They must be more noticeable to guilty consciences. It’s pathetic but could have been a lot worse just from this government's track record.

We’ve been caught with our pants down a bit again. The sensible approach, IMHO and if permitted, would have been to setup welcome centres at the points the Ukrainian’s cross into Bulgaria, Poland etc for anyone wanting to come to the UK. Only questions necessary would be have you got passports? No? Wait you were running for your lives and didn’t pack a passport?!? How remiss of you… well we can see you’ve just fled Ukraine so let’s take a photo of you now and add it to this document which is your temporary UK passport whilst we sort this all out. Next question? Do you have any idea where you’re staying or can we help accommodate you? Finally….the buses are that way if you’d like to make your way over there we will transport you to the UK…last question, do you need any help getting to the bus? No? Great. Right who is next? 5 minutes tops and all done with a welcoming smile on our faces.

I know hindsight and all that but you can’t tell me our foreign office didn’t have a clue how to manage this properly? It’s not like we’ve never seen people leaving war torn countries before. Asleep at the wheel. Now we have people carting themselves over Europe to various locations and to process them we have to create a world more processing centres and bureaucracy.

I already have a pair and dont want to fuck off so perhaps you could suggest something else.
We have had a politics thread for years where this was discussed/argued about. I didnt go into then because it was pointless, people were entrenched in their views and will not change. Why the fuck should posters have to put up with people moaning on and on about whether being in or out of Europe would help Ukraine. This is a thread about a murdering shithouse killing innocent people.
