I think this is correct,IMO.
Think they are just clearing the way at the moment.
They are definitely pushing in some areas though.

Yes they're pushing slowly to see what gives and then will either push or turn the area into a fly trap for Russian defenders then push elsewhere in preparation for the hammer(s) to go through known weakened areas.
I think the Ukrainians have enough men and equipment (150k+) to provision 2 main hammer thrusts if they want.

According to many, we are such a shit country, there's serious appreciation that we're not.

I am not a flag waving, rule Britannia sort of guy but the almost automatic denigration of our country from some quarters of the citizenry is pathetic really. Like all countries we have our good points and our bad ones. At least we try to make it better bit by bit, even if progress is often very slow.
