The more I’m reading about the attacks on belgorod the more I’m thinking this is a false flag of some form, maybe to gather support or something. A far right nationalist group who wants a “mono ethnic” Russia, attacking Russia from Ukrainian soil…

Could just be opportunistic but feels a bit too good to be true for the Russian commentators.

Nah, it's definitely Ukraine supported.

A false flag would require Russian control of armed forces and equipment within the borders of Ukraine without Ukraine knowing or responding. Which seems more than a little far fetched.

It's Ukraine poking the bear.

Definitely not a false flag. Its hugely embarrassing for Putin, exposing the weakness of the military situation. It also means they will have to redeploy troops all around the border which will have a big impact on numbers on the front.

It's a great tactical move by Ukraine. Ramps the pressure on Putin as he cant fix all these problems and this pushes those in Moscow around him to accept the reality.

There are a lot of home truths starting to arise, the head of Wagner spelt out the reality that Russia are now facing one of the most powerful and technologically advanced armies in the world (and now one of the best trained). This is a far cry from the beginning of the war when they expected Ukraine to surrender in a few days.

The Russians are now poorly equipped and poorly motivated with the army banging heads with the private mercenaries involved. It’s slowly unraveling and Ukraine haven’t properly started their offensive yet. Are we going to see another Kherson or Kharkiv in the coming months, if Ukraine throw the kitchen sink at them the conscripts will pack up and run back to Russia.

Unfortunately, there isn't many kitchen sinks left to throw at them....they stole them all.

Agree. The Russian war effort is in limbo.
