My friend whose dad was killed a few weeks ago has just got back from the necessary admin visit to her home town near Bakhmut (Kramatorsk).What will become of Wagner now do we think? Do they become part of the Russian military or do they think fuck it, we are dead now anyway and just go into hiding.
Was over there for a couple of weeks and from talking with contacts, reckons Wagner have a contingency plan for this eventuality - though not sure if it provisioned for their top 2 heads being taken out.
The thinking is though, that it does include retaliatory strikes within Russia.
As a repeat mutiny/assault attempt would likely end up being snuffed out before they even got close, expectation is that we will see more things start blowing up in and around Moscow in the not too distant future.
It may be wishful thinking, but one can hope...
