US always have plenty of navy, usually an aircraft carrier, in the East Med, so I wouldn't read much into it.

Antalya is 300 miles from the Black Sea, and probably much the same again away from any russian occupied territory.

It’s unusual for this class of Carrier to be there IMO. I’ve got very close links to Turkey and rumour is rife.

It won't be going into the Black Sea, Turkey aren't letting any military ships through the Bosphorous.

A quick google search says it's been in the Med since June 15th, and is part of a "consistent carrier presence in the Mediterranean Sea, which the U.S. began in December 2021".
