Russian invasion of Ukraine

Im hoping they give the AIM-120D's. 86–97 mile range on those. certainly while the planes are getting up to speed they would make things far less risky for the planes/pilots.

The gliding bombs are launched from about 25/35 miles so these would give a lot of cover for the front lines.
I think the west stockpiles of 120B and 120C are pretty much ‘unlimited’ , so it’ll be them generally. The 120D is newer and hasn’t got the stocks - the west probably feels it needs them themselves…

The US State Department has canceled a long-standing ban on the transfer of American weapons to the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade.

An official Azov statement:

The employees of the US Embassy in Ukraine confirmed that the 12th special purpose brigade "Azov" of the National Guard of Ukraine has passed the inspection required by US law and is entitled to receive assistance from the United States of America in the field of security.

This was the result of long and painstaking work, which the servicemen of "Azov" systematically carried out in the field of struggle against the successful results of Russian propaganda.

We are grateful to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the command of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America and everyone who openly or behind the scenes participated in overcoming this ban. The lie about Azov, which the Kremlin regime has been spreading in the West for years, received a devastating blow today.

Receiving Western weapons and training from the US will not only increase the combat capability of "Azov", but most importantly, will contribute to the preservation of the lives and health of the personnel of the brigade.

This is a new page in the history of our unit. "Azov" is becoming even more powerful, even more professional and even more dangerous for the occupiers.

Slava Ukraini!

Will they have enough missiles?

Stuff 10/06:

Russian Navy Surface Ship motive power units were produced by a company n MyKoliv in Ukraine - obviously the Russians can't buy spares anymore and the fake parts being used now don't work so well. The fire in the Anti-Sumarinec Warfare Ship in the Barrent's Sea recently is about the 4th serious fire in a Russian warship since 2022.
