Russian invasion of Ukraine

Nothing wrong with that statement. Ukraine has lost the war. Russia needs to come to the table and name it's terms. Ukraine need to accept that they have lost territory and come to terms with it and demand assurances and protection from the West to prevent further losses.

All of what you say is true, but it does not negate the fact that Ukraine is defeated and that the war needs to stop and that conflict is not worth starting WW3 or a nuclear conflict over.
Now that is a strange statement. Has anybody told Ukraine that they have been defeated ? I think it's only fair someone should tell them.
Obviously, as the winner, Putin needs to come to the table and, as you say, name his terms.
I just hope that Poland accepts that their loss of independence is for the good of world peace and under the Kremlins rule they will no doubt flourish.

UPDATE

So, sadly I was right. It was the RS-26 Rubezh IRBM.
The type of strike and warhead quantity suggests not a MIRV but an older style MRV package. MIRVS are independently targeted but these behaved more like an MRV package where the missile releases the warheads on a ballistic trajectory but they spread slightly over range all hitting the same area.
This is similar to early nuclear warheads used on missiles like Polaris-A3 which carried 3x200kt MRV’s.
Even so it appears these were inert warheads like test missiles use. The kinetic damage alone would have been horrendous.

Some in the media and indeed posters on here are saying Ukraine need to give up territory so that there will be peace.
I would like someone to tell me what could be put into writing that would stop Russia in 2 years time invading what's left of Ukraine ?
If a peace deal is brokered without the threat of direct Nato involvement it is a waste of time. It simply allows Russia to re-arm and re-group.

If they ceed any territory it would be for me on the condition Ukraine get full NATO membership and allowed to join EU, if Putin doesn’t like it then he can do one

If Ukraine has to cede territory, then the only viable solution (if you can call it that) is the rest of Ukraine becoming (at the very least) a de facto member of NATO.

Anything less that is either treacherous and/or hopelessly naive.

Or at least EU membership. the EU has a mutual defence pact too so would have the whole EU behind them in any military fight.

Not as big as Nato obviously but a big move.
