Russian invasion of Ukraine

I listened to zelensky this morning and i am torn , my heart breaks for all the ukranians who lost their lives and all those homes and towns flattened and kids crying in fear in the shelters. The poor people of mariupol, he must get what is left of that city and its people back , no letting the russians keep them

On the other hand to stop the war would obviously be great but i do not believe that putin would not have another go at it as soon as ukraine relaxes its forces

I cant see nato granting ukraine protection and trump wont support ukraine come january

I just fear for ukraine , they will never sleep soundly again whichever decision they make
Nobody knows what trump will do or not do. I personally doubt even he knows at this point. He'll most likely do what massages his ego best, but I don't think that will involve siding with putin.

NATO will carry on helping Ukraine long beyond trump becoming president, it's not dictated too by trump, and imho it will take longer than 4 years for trump to extract the US from NATO, by then he'll be gone (unless he can change the constitution in such a way that he can serve again).

2 months is a long time, never mind 4 years.

President Volodymyr Zelensky replaced the commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, pledging to “significantly increase combat capability” of the army.

General Mykhailo Drapatyi has succeeded Oleksandr Pavliuk, who has served in the position since February 2024, while Oleh Apostol has also been appointed as deputy commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Mr Zelensky did not explain the reasons for the reshuffle, but stated the need to “significantly increase the combat capability of our army, ensure the quality of training of military personnel and introduce innovative approaches to personnel management in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
