Russian invasion of Ukraine

Drones are a game changer in warfare now, literally nowhere is safe, unless every soldier and vehicle can wear some sort of EMP or device to disrupt drone signals. Even the Americans will never have experienced this sort of warfare I’d be shitting myself at the prospect of going to war with them fuckers flying everywhere.
Yes, but for every advance, along comes a counter measure:

Trophy is being adapted to take out drones as well as ATMs (Anti Tank Missiles).
This will be deployed to APCs and other armoured vehicles as well.
Anti-drone drones are a thing now as well.
Movement detectors and personal 'protection' drones (the infantry equivalent of pilot's wing man drone) will be a thing too.
High powered Laser based Air defence is also coming to sweep drones from the skies.

Another massive terror attack on UKR energy infrastructure, 93 missiles and 200 drones.
Think 81 of 93 missiles been shot down.

AD at work with manpads and machine guns:

5 of 9 UKR nuclear blocks had to lower energy output as a consequence.

If Trump wants to bend over to Putin - let him. It’s plain to see that Europe can see this through if the resolve is there. And there is too much at stake for it sensibly not to.

The cunts are on the ropes and this is no time to take our foot off their throat.

Your post sums up why I am so sad for Ukraine.
I believe Western powers, especially us and America who are major arms suppliers 'allow' wars. It let's us watch and develop new weapons which then makes us loads of money.
Look at the rapid development of drones and now anti drones.
We, the west could have helped Ukraine far more and stopped the conflict long ago, but did we want to ?

I'll probably get shot down in flames but I have always believed Northern Ireland was allowed to go on for so long as its was a great testing area. The military learnt so much, white noise was developed to stop the IRA listening to radio transmissions etc.
Now we are doing the same with Ukraine.

It’s complicated, though. Russia is a nuclear power ran by an expansionist kleptocracy and the west has had to balance the need to support Ukraine against a need to prevent escalation, as well as trying to avoid a catastrophic political collapse in Russia with all the dangers that could pose. This conflict has also served the ancillary purpose of lessening the long term threat Russia poses to the rest of Europe.

Has it always been pitched correctly? No. We’ve definitely been too cautious at times, but being reckless could have been catastrophic and it’s hard to argue that overall, the foregoing objectives haven’t been met.

The next objective should be wherever the lines are drawn, that this doesn’t happen again, and that will require economic resolve just as much as military. We simply shouldn’t be doing any business with Russia as long as this regime is in situ as we will be enabling them to go again in a few years.
