In the Kursk oblast, the first written record in Korean has been discovered. A letter was found on a dead soldier, written on behalf of Hyong Hong Jong, congratulating his friend Song Ji Myong on his birthday. Interestingly, in the typical fashion of the Russian Armed Forces, the documents were issued under the name of a Tuvan soldier, with only the personal signature in the military ID written in Korean script. This trophy was obtained by Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.
