When you see those displays they do now over theme parks etc, whe they have hundreds together, I can’t imagine it will be far off that over a battlefield, each drone with AI programmed to pick a target and just nail them, there be no escape.

Main difference is one is a set of manoeuvres that are set in stone like any animation is. The impressive bit is keeping them in place with wind etc.
AI controlled drone swarms are another matter where it’s not going to be a set animation and flowing movement where they have to keep track of everting in including there swarm “mates” so all in mass avoidance mode while also hinting a target.
It’s very impressive tech.
