I’ve done a wee bit of digging, and whilst you always have to be wary of going down a rabbit hole, your own logarithms and confirmation bias I think it’s likely that the Russian economy is stood on the edge of a precipice and could unravel at great speed. The rouble is tanking, interest rates are at crippling levels and inflation is starting to accelerate away.
Who knows how the land will lie in a couple of months?
One thing is for certain, the Putin that Trump will be dealing with in 2025 will be an entirely different beast from the one he encountered in 2017.
