I've never understood this. The swamp is in the middle of Salford Quays. (Sadly, not literally).

How can it not be in Salford? Or are Salford Quays not in Salford either?

Bascialy, if you cross the Ship Canal from the Swamp you're in Salford. The stadium side is in Trafford.
