Must admit the only golf I watch is the Ryder Cup. All other golf is like watching paint dry to me.I have to say golf is narrowly more interesting to me than needlepoint, but always good to see the Yanks losing

Not a golf fan but always jump on the ryder cup bandwagon. Its the tribalism, i love it.
When a yank tee’d off in that last game a woman just shouted “GET IN THE WATER!!!”. It tickled me.
I can understand why the players buy into It so much. Spend 2 years playing for themselves and themselves alone then they have 3 days as part of a team.

Seve, Woods. Certain players just do incredible things under incredible pressure. It’s more than just talent, it’s like they exist on a totally separate level. Rahm is getting there.
Same here. Don’t really know a lot about the game, but there’s something that stirs the blood about a contest against America. Absolutely brilliant to watch , the sheer emotion and excitement the Ryder cup brings is a one off sheer brilliance. The class and standard so high , sporting greatness right there and on the line . Rome a magnificent venue and keep those loud hysterical gobshite yanks quiet !

Correct. I dont play golf, may take a slight interest go see who won the open etc but only if its a brit.Same here. But yeah the ryder cup, lions, ashes. Its the absolute peak for the players involved
