1 win, and 3 ties in 12 matches so far. Pretty risible. That being said, I'd take a Desmond this afternoon. That'd leave 2.5 points needed from the 12 singles matches tomorrow.

Great tele but for some reason I hate Ewan Murray’s commentary. Like fingernails down a blackboard. Not cos he’s a sweaty but just winds me up. Unreasonable I know, but there you go.

I normally take almost no interest in golf — I strongly suspect that it's a sport you have to play at least sometimes to get into it as a spectator sport (true of all sports, of course, but I suspect especially so where golf is concerned), but I always follow the Ryder, because it is the one sporting event, to my knowledge, in which Europe plays together, as a team, against someone else in the world (makes it better that it's the States). I like that principle. I particularly like it yesterday and today… ;-)
