First time I've ever really sat and watched golf but I must admit that was absolutely fucking brilliant. More so because I'm in work and I've just been paid 4 hours pay for watching it :-)

Do yourself a favour and don’t watch the Qatar Open, or wherever they’re playing next.

And he'll do it with class. However, I do have to say that the American fans and their over the top reactions also make the Ryder Cup what it is. Some of the reactions by the European team this week have been brilliant - Rory saying shut the fuck up and the fuck you, fuck you, fuck you after a winning putt. Makes it all the more viewable.

I'm not much of a golf fan, as I said earlier, but having lived on another continent and travelled on all others fairly extensively, I'm a big fan of Europe. There is nothing like it. The Ryder Cup, since it was extended to Europe, has been a brilliant competition. And unless I'm mistaken, it is the only sport in which Europe pulls together.
Makes me wonder what a British, Irish and French Lions would look like in rugby. Or a European football team in the World Cup.
