Given the debacle against Norwich, the Mancini debate will surely rage on.

Question to the Inners..... was it even possible for Mancini to turn things around next season? If yes, how?

I generally think if Mancini got even 2-3 of his targets this summer we would be back challenging for silverware next year.

That is a moot point now however, Soriano and Txiki clearly felt a different manager was the right direction and they could of sacked Mancini and replaced him with the tea lady and I would trust them. The two of them are the best in the business for a reason.

Let's wait until Pellegrini has his turn with the team before we judge the decision.

Had he been given his players last august we'd now be sat here with a double under our belt.he'd still be unpopular but he would still be a winner. I'd have taken that.

Failing to register how the debacle against Norwich was Mancini's fault. Can we blame him for team selection, formation and failure to motivate the players - all the usual avenues of attack. Nope. The hated Mancini is gone, we should have been playing out of our skins yesterday. Instead, we get a sad lacklustre farce with some extremely shoddy goals conceded that would embarrass a pub team.

spot on. so he upset players. slur alex has never done that has he? and clough revie shankley etc. ffs. mancini won us trophies. end of. so some prima donnas didn't like it that he didn't hug them. and imo joe hart should shut the fuck up and concentrate on his job and his distribution for instance rather than trying to be the manager as he was in madrid. feeling totally pissed off with the players as this season ends not the ex- manager who was in charge when we won things i never thought i would see in my lifetime.

He should of got one more year if you ask me, mainly because of the poor transfer window but if he was given a decent window and got the same results then arguably you could say he should of gone. I don't think it's a case of this years trophy haul but rather the lack of progress that has lost him his job. After winning the title you'd expect to build on that and at the very least give it a very close challenge while progressing in other departments, that hasn't happened this year.

We finished this year 11 points behind United, out of the Champions league in the group stages having not even won a match and failed in both cups, one of them in an embarassing fashion. In hindsight, yes he should of gone but i still believe he should of got another year and a decent summer. You could argue that the transitional period to the new CEO and director of football is really what has cost Bobby because it's obvious in the summer we weren't wholly in the market of buying and improving the squad.

Now we have to hope Pellegrini will build on what Bobby has done and take us on to better things but at the moment things are a little worrying and the club needs to clean up this total utter mess.

yeah but the way yaya performs only when he feels like it no big loss and would not surprise me if aguero wants to go back to madrid anyway with his personal situation so we are left with kompany who has been struggling with a calf injury it seems for most of this season. and that is one injury that tends to keep coming back. so no big deal for me. i think and am entitled to my opinion i guess we have got rid of a great manager to placate a load of prima donnas who have pissed me off big time

Lets hope the players dont have it in for pellegrini if he uses the sunbeds or has his eyebrows plucked in harvey nics,or he could be in for a rough ride...

If he'd been given another year then Kompany, Yaya & Aguero would all certainly have left and probably a few others as well.
