I would say that if he can do that being drafted in half way through a season, with someone else's team and having to teach them how to defend on the way, then it's reasonable to expect his points per game ration next season to be slightly higher.
A slight rise to 2.5 points per game would see us with 95 points, which would have made us champions every single season out of the last ten (it would have gone to goal difference in 2004-05 with Chelsea).

Its you talking bollocks pal cos a points ratio under RM is not 2.25 per game.... its just over 2 with 33 points from 16 games.....projected over a season is 78 points..

Yes. Hands up. Slip of the calculator. I was talking bollocks.
But I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that, with a close season to prepare and strengthen, Mancini's current ratio would improve dramatically above 2.06 points per game. I think next season he's well capable of putting us in the 85-90 points bracket, and that makes us title challengers.
