The guy going on about money... if you add up the totals, Spurs squad cost well over £200m.

'Arry has done a great job there but the squad wasnt bought on a shoestring.

Where has this £200m figure come from? And in any case, if it did, the vast majority of it came from player sales, unlike your squad.

Paul Tomkins posted the spreadsheet last season with the squad value based on transfer fees of each of the "big 6" clubs. Spurs was over £200m, and even more now with the acquisitions of Bassong, Sandro and Vdv.

Spurs are a well run club financially. That wasn't the point I was making. Just that it hasn't been done on a shoestring. The insane (from a Manchester perspective) ticket prices you can charge, together with Lewis' backing has seen you spend a ton of money. With a £200m+ squad I can't take the earlier posters shoestring comments seriously.
