What a sanctimonious prat this guy is. All you hear from him is how right and proper he conducts his business, how he shows respect to other clubs. Well City offered 15 million for Lescott which most pundits thought was a fair offer and this was rejected by Everton...no problem there. Another offer of 18 million followed which was rejected and it is rumoured that City are prepared to make an over the top offer of 22 million for the player who, in fact, does want to leave Everton. This is good business on Everton's part, you might say, as City are the only team who would ever dream of paying such a high price for Lescott. But NO.... this is still not enough for the self righteous one Saint David who now says he wants 30 million for the player.

Talk about trying to screw the world's richest club for every penny and spouting morality and respect at the same time. Is this the type of behaviour that they taught him in the Vatican....as one has to assume by his sermons emanating from Mount Goodison...that he has spent some time studying there. Perhaps he has threatened Lescott with eternal damnation in the fires of hell if he tries to go against his wishes.

I suggest that the total hypocrite goes straight to the confessional box at his local church this weekend to confess his sins and then sells Lescott to City for a fair price. Then, and only then, will he be able to walk back on the road to righteousness and be welcomed back into the Vatican fold.

It's no surprise that clubs want to screw as much out of us as they can, if the boot was on the other foot we'd probably do the same. But as much as I admire Lescott I wouldn't say he's worth £22 million.

Amen to that!

Agreed, did we hear Moyes giving out about his mate Fergie and his pursuit of 'boyhood Evertonian' Wayne Rooney? Double standards amongst the Scottish mafia!
An excellent post sir!

It is also strange how he talks about City going about the transfers the wrong way, yet every chance he gets he talks about signing Senderos.

Pot and kettle.

It is down to Lescott if he kicks up enough fuss we will get him, IMO he will be a City player by the end of August. Moyes just doesn't want to lose him whilst he has no cover and a week before the start of the season, that is more than understandable.

was listening to talkshite the other night (i know i shouldnt but i was having a keith floyd type thing in the kitchen with some coriander and a few sherberts). Anyway an everton fan phones in with the very same righteous indignation about city ruining this that and the other, richer club taking players etc, etc. Ian wright then pointed out to the numpty that everton had just done the very same thing by paying 6 million to pinch a lower league player, cant remember who. Then some silence, then its not the same, because moyes will make him a better player etc etc. As an earlier poster said, the bug eyed idiot will go down a riot at the swamp....wat is it with the jockanese and pathetic, childish mind games, it must be something in the whiskey in scotland, that turns you into a hypocritical moron. Apologies for the english mess, im doing it on my phone.

I see the FA are bringing in rules about managers talking about referees before the game.

The reason for the change?

Classy Moyes.
