We then showed our class and it was more than good enough to beat those pub footballers. Makes a change to be doing that but it seems we can do it these days which is a measure of how far we've come.Blue2112 said:To be honest I thought they were by far the better team for the first 20 minutes, we got the breaks with the goal with a bit of a scramble in the box, nice foot work from Kompany and then got on top. Robinho took his goal well and the penalty was a penalty but apart from those three chances I'm struggling to remember much more that we did. The second half was a non event with both teams happy to lump it high and mighty when the class players like it on the grass.
Going in 3-0 up was always going to render the second half an anti-climax and as much as they huffed and puffed, they never really threatened. Did Given have a serious save to make?
That fat, bent twat Allardyce should fail the Fit & Proper Persons Test if there was any justice. I'd happily disembowel the cnut with a trowel in the centre circle.
I agree and I think I said as much that once we got it down we outplayed them, just the second half we allowed ourselves to constantly become too negative and defensive passing it sideways, backwards and then ultimately to Shay to lump it. Hell we had a corner or a free kick deep in there half that went all the way back on one occasion. Nothing wrong with keeping the ball and being patient and waiting for the gaps but we didn't wait for the gaps we sent it back to be lumped forwards. But thats not to say I'm not happy with the result its just an analysis of our game today.
