To be honest I thought they were by far the better team for the first 20 minutes, we got the breaks with the goal with a bit of a scramble in the box, nice foot work from Kompany and then got on top. Robinho took his goal well and the penalty was a penalty but apart from those three chances I'm struggling to remember much more that we did. The second half was a non event with both teams happy to lump it high and mighty when the class players like it on the grass.
We allowed them to dominate the first 15-20 minutes and were guilty of some slack passing but once we got it on the floor then there was only ever going to be one winner. We then showed our class and it was more than good enough to beat those pub footballers. Makes a change to be doing that but it seems we can do it these days which is a measure of how far we've come.

Going in 3-0 up was always going to render the second half an anti-climax and as much as they huffed and puffed, they never really threatened. Did Given have a serious save to make?

That fat, bent twat Allardyce should fail the Fit & Proper Persons Test if there was any justice. I'd happily disembowel the cnut with a trowel in the centre circle.

I agree and I think I said as much that once we got it down we outplayed them, just the second half we allowed ourselves to constantly become too negative and defensive passing it sideways, backwards and then ultimately to Shay to lump it. Hell we had a corner or a free kick deep in there half that went all the way back on one occasion. Nothing wrong with keeping the ball and being patient and waiting for the gaps but we didn't wait for the gaps we sent it back to be lumped forwards. But thats not to say I'm not happy with the result its just an analysis of our game today.

We had no real need to do anything in the second half and we need to get better at killing games off. But I totally agree that it's really annoying when we get the ball in a good attacking position then let it go all the way back. We've done that a few times recently.

Shall we put a contract on this fuckers head or what? if we all chip in can someone do him in? It's a fucking travesty that this guy is allowed to manage premiership teams, he should be banned form european football and sent to australia or some other no mark football place like scotland

To have a game plan that simple consists of being first to the ball (doesn't matter where the players kick it - just be first to it) and booting it up to a big target man (Kevin Davies or these days Samba) and then picking up the pieces of that is a fucking disgrace and it pains me to think that this twat will be polluting the premiership for years to come

And then there's the fucking bully boy tactics of kicking the fuck out of other teams talented players (Stevie and Robbie) in another effort to spoil a game of football. He's fucking scum and should be done away with, a compete embarrassment to the sport of football and it pains me to think that this twat will be managing lower premiership teams who will be kicking and fouling and sniding their way to get results against proper teams.

Off with his fat fucking head!
agree 100% big fat sam a disgrace to the prem, ask benitez and the scousers!

He's an arrogant, whinging wanker who got sussed at Newcastle and ran straight back to his "comfort zone" managing a shitty backwater team.

A Farmfoods version of fergie-just without the cups.

I wish he'd fuck off to the championship where his prehistoric tactics, spitters and pub-team hatchet men are better suited.

BLACKBURN Rovers were made to pay for some sloppy defending this afternoon as they crashed 3-1 at Manchester City.

The visitors dominated for long periods but were punished for defensive mistakes and a host of missed chances as they remain six points clear of the drop zone, but having played a game more than Hull, Sunderland and Newcastle.

After Tugay, Ryan Nelsen and Vince Grella all saw early shots blocked, City took the lead against the run of play of 27 minutes.

Elano's right wing corner was eventually scuffed clear by Andre Ooijer and, after stabs by Vincent Kompany and Nedum Onuoha, Felipe Caicedo rolled the ball home from close range.

The lead was doubled on 34 when Elano's left wing cross was scuffed clear this time by Gael Givet and Robinho expertly curled the ball into the back of the net from 18 yards.

A harsh penalty was then awarded against Givet for handball on the stroke of half time, which Elano converted to effectively kill the contest before the break.

Substitute Keith Andrews pulled a goal back with b25 minutes remaining, converting the rebound after El-Hadji Diouf's penalty kick had been saved by Shay Given.

Did you write that match report its a disgrace, describing Givet's blatant hand ball and almost certain penalty as harsh. I know we didn't play particularly well but can someone please point me in the direction of Blakcburn's 'host of chances', Given did fuck all.
