Sam Allardyce resigns from Palace

Thought his comments about identifying the correct type of player were quite strange, when he was speaking to the press after the last match.
Correct type are the ones where he has control over the cash?
Selling club and player's agent happy to provide payment for "advisory and consultancy services" in brokering the deal?

Allegedly

Oh, you cynic. :-)

One would imagine those sorts of 'details' would have been discussed prior to his appointment at Palace. The only other explanation I can think of is that he knew that he was not going to be trusted with the transfer dealings all along but that he accepted the position at Palace as a form of rehabilitation back into the game. All rather odd.

He should go to China, can get lots of dosh there.

Alternatively, he fancies himself as Brighton or Reading/Huddersfield manager in approximately Mid-October or November,

Well he was in the Marriot on Friday giving it large and being a general **** to everybody who looked his way. Couldn't give a shit and is nailed on for the Sunderland job.

Strange decision by him i reckon, hard to see what other PL clubs he could move to any time soon.

West Brom - nope
Southampton - nope
Bournemouth - nope
West Ham - nope
Leicester - nope
Stoke - possibly?
Swansea - Nope
Burnley - Nope
Watford - possibly? Doesn't seem their type.
Er; I don't see us (or our lovely neighbours) on there?

Deluded fucker still thinks he can manage one of the top clubs.Hopefully he's waiting on the rags to lose tomorrow so that Maureen gets the sack, so his old mate slurgie can recommend him
