Rather like his football tactics he’s got that the wrong way round. We can spend £450m on defenders because we are a big club.
Why did the interviewer not ask him if he thought Chelsea were only a big club because of what they’ve spent? Or those dirty cheating tramps at Trafford with the £450m of debt?

You can tell the people these older managers been hanging around with in the corridors with what come out there mouth regarding Man City. If the asked him the same question when bacon was manager winning and spending shitloads the answer wouldn’t be they spent this much or that much in a certain area! The narrative of our club for the last ten years is imbedded in the tiny minds of the majority of people and is why the history clubs started it.
