Didn't realise he was so young when he played for us, was absolutely awful. I remember I went up to see City against Everton on New years day, got back and my mates asked who scored, I said "Samaras bagged a brace" they asked me the question again, toilet player.

However, he always puts a shift in. I know that's the biggest back handed compliment but the least you can do as a proffesional is give 100% and he does that every time I see him play for Celtic and Greece.

I don't agree 'he always put a shift in' - far from it. I do however remember the day he woke up against Sunderland (I think) and ran them ragged and scored 2 good goals. I seem to remember he came out at the next home game wearing gloves and a scarf. Not a snood or a neck warmer but a full blown scarf!

For us he was lazy and I think he was at the start of his Celtic career but since the crowd got on his back a bit he's responded big time. Hope he stays there and becomes a cult hero for them, horrible club though.
