Same Old Boring Chants/songs

I do feel this needs some serious discussion on here,i speak as a passionate and loyal blue but this has been niggling me and my match day brothers for quite some time now,and if im being honest perhaps some years,basically the repertoire of songs/chants we have lack invention,its been the same 3/4 songs repeated now for the past 3 yrs at least and as for "the invisable man" it was good in its day because it was "strange",it aint strange anymore talk about over egging the pudding doesn't come close!
However i dont want to sound to critical and have therefore tried to figure out where our football lyricists disappeared too,the only valid explanation i can come up with is two fold,firstly the end of my beloved Kippax,the fond memories i have of bouncing around in the top corner,singing and laughing as the attempts of a new ditty where tried and tested and the decent ones soon spread like wildfire.Secondly has to be the move to COMS,i would,nt go as far as to say where ready for the prawn sandwiches but the corn beef and spam ones are going down well.
We are now the wealthiest club on the planet,we should aim to have a wealth of songs/chants to go with it.This forum has the potential to be the birthplace of the next generation of football songs,so lets not just concentrate on idle gossip and speculation lets be creative and try and perhaps structure away we can convey from here our new footy tunes to the rank and file on matchday.

FFS I can see this post from the other side of the room. This is bold at its best. We should have a contest llike Graham Nortons called "your City needs you " to see who the best composer is then the winner gets his/her song sang in Mary D's auditorium...sorted.

The Kippax was like home to me. I miss the old girl. They should call this one the "New Kippax" officially. It'll never be the same as the old one but still...

anyway down to the songs...

I have to say i think this place would be great for it. You feel a right tw*t stood up singing some song youve scratched out in your garage with mates that no-one knows. Guess thats part of the fun of it. I guess this could spread them alot easier aswell.
