Same process for semi final confirmed

Looked at the the City site and the Premier League site and both have the match kicking off at noon on Sunday.
The fa cup match involving Everton and United/West Ham is at 5:15 on the Saturday so there must be a wish to avoid a TV clash.
Surely the simple thing is to play the City match at 12:45 on the Saturday?

By suppose to am I to assume it didn't go perfectly in Paris?

I get it to avoid point whoring so I suppose they are doing it for league games too?
Two of out biggest mods seem to think it's about points whores, it's not.
It's about controlling who is in the stadium, the bye product of that has seemingly stopped some of the whoring.

I saw one bloke take off his wrist band in the pub and give it to another and his ticket, for €300.

Two blokes went in with us on other people's passports, one got away with it the other didn't

Was stood behind four blokes arguing at the collection point that their 'two mates' couldn't come over so could their 'two mates' who were there without tickets have them instead

So like I say if there is reasoning behind it why isn't it the same for league games? Why are we only controlling who is in the stadium abroad?

Well according to some blues in the other thread it seems that our European away game following is made up of dicks, scrotes, Coke heads and thugs who would rather rip up seats and piss on the home fans below.
Personally I've seen very little trouble over the years except last year in Barcelona, and that was a small number.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it does seem very odd although most of what you have described sums up the league away games I've been to this season so quite bizarre this is just restricted to abroad.

It may come in for the premium prem away games but we were told only euros away at the moment

Why though? If they are wanting to police what City fans attend games what's the difference between a premium game and West Brom away?

It is simply a matter of how much time they have to dish the tickets out. Most people travelling to an away game in this country will not be arriving in the town/City much before an hour before kick off. Most are there for at least the afternoon on Euro aways so they can cope with that.

I really like this system, if only because it would stop me repeating the error of Munich last season when I left my match ticket in the UK.

By doing this they can stop fans with UK banning orders from being able to go, which is the main reason.

Only gripe from me is if you do they day trip, you waste a good portion of your day collecting the tickets. On a 2 day trip its not so bad as you can go the day before to get them.
