Sam's Chop House

I go there with a fellow Bluemooner every now and again and love it. Three courses plus a bottle of wine comes to about £40 each including service. That can be seen as pricey but the food and service are top notch and the Steak & Kidney Pud is to die for.

Including a bottle of wine I'd say that's ok. I will prob wait till after Xmas then give it a whirl.

£80 for a meal for two is very expensive

You can go ballistic in McDonalds with £20 but its shit so generally when you pay more you get better food (generally not always)
Thats true
But there comes a point when you think are you paying a little over the odds for what you are getting
And in here you are

I have been to 2 Michelin(sp) star restaurants in my time and while the food is amazing you still leave hungry which is a jip really when you fork out about £150 for it.

There are no michelin star restaurants in manchester
Some very good ones though which me and the mrs always visit once a month.

I had the Corned Beef Hash in there about 6 years ago.

One of the worst meals I've ever had. Couldn't finish it.

Mind you, I don't know if it was actually a poor corned beef hash. I think I might have just decided half way through that the whole concept of corned beef hash is fucking rank.

If you are in to that disgrace of a meal, it might be the creme de la creme.
