Tonali has been their best player ever time I’ve watched them this season. Ever since Bruno G got injured he’s been forced to play the six and he’s looked poor there but he’s quality.

Doesn’t mean anything either way Anderson is with a team even lower, Wharton’s Palace no great shakes. I’d prefer Anderson, but Tonali would be a very good option too excellent player.

2 things of note I read about Tonali -
1) Newcastle fans in their forum doesn't seem to like him anymore. Something about not giving his 100% or playing with motivation elsewhere. Expect him to leave along with Livramento
2) Ornstein says his agent is getting restless. Almost offered him to Arsenal when Mikel Merino was injured. Even Arsenal was not stupid enough to bite it and let the rumour be rumour. Summer he goes and the agent is gonna push him for it

Have we been linked with him? I’ve seen the conversation between Pep and Tonali and links between Tonali and Arsenal, but nothing specific linking him to us.

As Pep probably told him, he is “TOP” he could play as a 6, 8 or even a 10 and would give us extra bite in midfield.

Anderson and Tonali would be amazing signings, as others have said, we have a few midfielders who are likely to leave this summer.

We need Viana to do his thing and get him and Anderson a combined £10M :D

We could probably do with a bit of grit in midfield once Bernie has gone. Not sure he's the one but wouldn't complain if Kova and Bernie go and he comes in. He'd need to expect an increase in yellows though, no way he'd get away with half the stuff he does for Newcastle if he's wearing a city shirt.

He's the least dirty out of the Newcastle mf three. Joelinton and Bruno G are easily ahead of him. I've always thought he was a very classy player, not afraid to get stuck in but I wouldn't label him a dirty player personally.
