Let's not forget sterling is still young. He is sometimes talked about as if he the finished article because he has had nearly 3 full seasons.

If jesus becomes as good as his potential and barca or Madrid come knocking I guarantee the media over here will do their best to belittle us. Expect the usual snippets of us not being a big club etc

If Sterling could learn to finish and show abit of composure in and around the box he'd be every bit as good as Sane, but for that reason alone he falls just shy. Sane has it all, which is a credit to Sterling that he's only composure behind matching him.

Jesus for me is still a bit of an unknown. We've seen a glimpse and had chance to get carried away, but we won't really know until next season what he is truly capable of here.

Barcelona is a possibility but Madrid owe Mansour so much money they wouldn't dare.
Near every summer Aguero has been linked in the press to Madrid, neither club or Aguero ever took that seriously.
Mansour is pretty much financing their stadium revamp to the tune of £400 million plus I believe.

Seems to be the narrative that no matter what the kid does, he can't do enough..

Sterling will score 20 goals next season in all competitions, wait until he has a decent fullback behind him, same goes for sane!

I don't know about 20 goals but Raheem will continue to improve. The lack of respect for him from some city fans is astonishing.
All 3 players will be amazing, playing interlinking one touch football.
We will bring in 2 more players to complement them and will rotate to keep them fresh.
Kun will still go imho.

My thoughts exactly, but I remember the rags saying exactly the same thing when Madrid came calling for Ronaldo.

We should learn from the Ronaldo deal. The rags did not really have the chance to keep him as he wanted to go but in retrospect it was a terrible deal for them even though they got £80 Million iirc for him. They would have won far more and attracted better players.

We have done well to keep Sergio, Yaya and David tbh.

Sane and Jesus have ridiculous potential, but Sterling's can only go a little higher. Sterling is still young but let's remember he has been in the premier league for a few seasons now and has had plenty of time to improve his finishing. I feel like alot of people on here are like "He's so young he has so much time to improve his finishing and become amazing", and while that can happen, to me it is clear that it will forever be his achilles heel. I think he will slightly improve on it overtime, but not enough to reach the level of a Bale or Neymar that Sane or Jesus clearly can reach.

This isn't to say I don't think we should keep Sterling, but just to be realistic that he will probably only be a very, very good player for us, but not world-class like an Aguero, Bale, Sanchez etc. Would totally love to be proven wrong, and hopefully competition from Roberts (who potentially can be better than him) will force Sterling to become a better finisher.

Madrid will only buy players that we're willing to sell. Like you say, they owe Mansour far too much to be trifling with him. Barca maybe, but we'll hold out for absolutely absurd money, and whos to say we wont be top dogs around by that point?
