When Hughes first sighned for us and before ADUG took over we all wanted him to bring RSC with him. Now we have money, views have changed and the bar is set higher.

Right now i would take him, we do struggle up front and i think he would play hard and find his form again for Hughes.

Look at the strikers of some of the teams in the prem outside the top four:

Saha, Yakubu, Bent, Defoe, Zaki, Heskey, Adebayor, van Persie (if not them then Carew and Agbonlahor), Elmander, Martins, Owen, Cisse

Is there anything to separate RSC form them lot? Apart from Adebayor, van Persie and Agbonlahor, who are clearly better players.

Did we??...And even if 'we' did it i dont think anybody would have been happy with the £18/20mil that has been quoted
 
Right what ive been thinking about this is, All of the greatest players in the world didnt become Great overnight, Kaka wouldnt be known now if milan didnt scout him, and when he was partnered with milans great squad he blossomed, give RSC a chance (although i want at least one world class player this month as much as the next blue :)

Martins, Yak and Defoe much better, IMO. However, we'd have no chance of getting any of them right now, I reckon.

Point taken( some of us) The 18/20mil is a quote though and if we get him it will probably be an undisclosed fee. Still would take him right now, so i dont have to watch benji offside again and vass giving a needless foul on the opponents 18 yard line.
 
A the end of the day the guy turned us down flat in the summer, why should we go back with a bigger bid for someone who aint gonna set the world on fire. If he didnt fancy it before fuck him off say.

I think he's looking at another C.F. who's big and he can get for half the money.
Their club are skint as well....

I am starting to agree with that as well. I would much rather get someone else for that insane amount of money.... I mean if we are really paying 18m....what a joke that would be... he is never worth that amount.

i wud much rather him then than cruz. been at a big club and performed, fans didn't want him to leave, has actually scored goals throghout his career.

if were gunna make a ridiculous signing it might as well have some relavance or thought behind it

bernabia ...i took it off because i realised i couldnt be arsed with ...the bullshit you get in reply. Thats whats come out and it all adds up with the fact betting is suspended .
 
Half the prem would have cruz . but if they buy him that means they will have to buy bellamy and parker ..and also keep hughes ...Personally bellamy and parker will get him the sack ..They aint happy with his targets ..Who will buy them back next year no one ...thats 35 million on transfer and wages .

Basically if they buy all them players there keeping hughes for 3 years .
