Thats 2 bench warmers immaculate. I still cant make my mind up over Ade, to be fair that in Africans Cup was shocking was bound to stay with him
 
The way he played against Sunderland left me thinking after the match that he was a bit of a dark horse, but subsequently he has dissapointed. I can't say I'll lose sleep over him leaving.

Maybe Spurs can have him and we can get Defoe!

And pigs might fly as well.
 
Exactly Revol, he was supposed to be fit then and how long ago was that, people just dont listen, 2 out of 5 games played prior to us, then a really bad injury which if people are honest probably finished his career sadly
 
A fit Santa Cruz is far more effective for us than Adebayor, its just unfortunate that he has been injured for a lot of this season. Hopefully next he can have a fully fit season.

on what do you base that????

and im an admirer of defoe but I know a couple of spurs fans who say that he is great at finishing, as long as he doesnt have time to think!!!......sounds like what we use to say about Vass.....

having said that id rather have defoe than rsc

I agree Lee, he has patellar tendonitis and this is a serious injury. I think Bellamy has the same and Owen Hargreaves.

We should never have paid that much for a player who already had a history with this injury and i believe this ultimately cost Hughes his job. Transfer window was looming and couldn't be trusted IMHO.

For what it’s worth, I think a fit Santa Cruz would have been a great player for us he would have strengthened our squad during the Tevez & Ade situation and this would have seen us competing even higher in the league.

Sorry i just re read my post, i don't mean to imply his career is over and he can still be effective for us, but i don't think we'll suddenly see a 10 game run from him.
 
Lets not get too bogged down with how much he cost.As far as I'm concerned,hargreaves,aquilani,kleberson,etc,cost roughly the same and they hardly set the world on fire.Santa Cruz was clearly a darling of hughes and he wanted him no matter what.Bobby will have his own wishlist of players he knows well and trusts.I think Cordoba could be heading our way in the summer.The problem with having players like Ade and Santa is because they are tall,centre forwards,the temptation is to knock it long and high and that just isn't us,never will be.
 
I wish people wouldn't come out with this "he is better than Adebayor" shit, it simply isn't true. None of us would claim Adebayor has had a great year, yet in all the years RSC has been a pro he has only ever twice scored as many goals in a season as Adebayor has in 18 league games for the club.

not better than ade. but when fit, seemed to sync with the rest of the team than ade.
