At least he stayed fit - he was very average, but he played. RSC has never been truly fit, thus making his signing indefensible.

I saw santa cruz interviewed on Sky sports earlier and I like what he had to say about staying at City and proving he can be a good player for us. I have given him some stick in the past but any player that has the desire to play for us and wants to help the club to success is OK by me. I know he gets paid more than he should and what he gets is incentive enough but he seemed as though he meant what he says. Contrast this attitude to the Brazilian mercenary we have then I know who I would like to stay.

What a stupid and misleading thread title. For tactical reasons, RSC was kept under wraps until the 68th minute when he was brought on to reasonably good effect, especially bearing in mind the quality of the opposition defence. He also won praise for winning a corner when his cause looked distinctly lost. If we do get rid, he should not go cheaply.

The worst signing in terms of value for money we've ever had. Hughes should have been sacked for this signing alone - old pals act at a piss takingly high figure at our expense. When we eventually get shut, it'll be good riddance - and Hughes should be reminded of his £18m piss take at regular intervals.
