Stoney is right to use maps. Espeacially after reading this I would save your money until next year at least.

Sat Nav system could break down next year!!!!!!

I do actually uses maps and plan my route before i go anywhere unfamiliar, also i keep a big road atlas in my car at all times. However they do come in handy at times, for instance last night on my way home back to Liverpool.

The M62 at junction 6 was blocked, so that sent me on a mad detour following the signs. A detour that i followed all the way to the end which lead me to the middle of bleeding nowhere. Were it just ended unexplicably at roundabout in the middle of a load of fields with no further direction. Also i was low on bloody petrol as i'd forgot to fill up and for some reason for the first time in years my Hay fever had kicked in. A fucking nightmare it was, i did get home alright but i could of really done with a sat nav.

I usually read the signs on the road. They can be quite helpful.

NQT your a star fella i'm well pleased, i got my navigo yesterday and i've slapped on the V2 menu system of here <a class="postlink" href="http://www.thepctailor.com/pctforum/index.php?topic=267.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thepctailor.com/pctforum/ind ... opic=267.0</a> . So now i've got basically a TomTom one with the latest map possible with speed cams and an IGO8 and a MIAMAP sat navs. Also its an mp3 player and video player as well which saves me buying a new stereo, as my new (second hand) Fiat Brava doesn't have a CD player (MP3 will do me nicely),
