I now need one as my new job means I have to drive to new places all the time and I want to get the cheapest one I can.

What I want to know is why the ability to get map updates is seen as a good feature. Just how many new roads are built these days?

Areas change all the time and not all of the country is mapped properly, so you will need to be able to update it, some offer free updates. Also get 8 digit postcode search.

Thanks for the reply. I assume areas only change due to new housing estates but not for main roads and the like as these are rarely built.
