Im pretty sure your incorrect. They have been talking about it, along with the possibility of the FA cup winners being entered, however as yet I dont believe anything has been changed...

Spurs finishing 5th would be a mare. Let's face it everyone hates them there Spurs fans. Horrible deluded cockernees. That cannot happen.
 
at present spurs deserve 4th ( and i hate spurs)...they are going out and attacking teams and scoring goals, we arent

First of all, you get absolutely fuck all for winning the Europa League. Well, you're guaranteed the right to compete in it the season after but that really shouldn't concern any self-respecting club. That's nice and out of the way? Good.

To answer the question asked though, I would not be happy with fifth place. I would have accepted it at the start of the season (even at Christmas) as I couldn't have foreseen Liverpool falling as hard as they did but we're in the driving seat now and we can't be happy if we've let a crucial place slip after being so close. Who are the other competitors? Liverpool, Spurs and Villa? Liverpool are embarrassing for English football and you can tell they don't even want it, Spurs have a much smaller squad than us and their side lacks experience in these end-of-season scraps while Villa are plain one-dimensional. It's there for the taking and I know we'll do it.

agreed, i always though liverpool would get 4th, untill recently, yes i would take 5th but would be so gutted now.

4 of those were against chelsea (3 against a team with 10 or less men)...the chelsea game was a fluke result

in the first half we had 2 shots on target....darren bent had 4 on target on his own in the first half!!! It wasnt tiill RM changed his tactics in the second half did we start ot play better (and was it an enforced change.....was bridge injured when he brought on RSC?)

stats hide the truth...our attacking potential is being severly dented by RM;s ultra defensive approach

You're surely on a wind up mission.

OK, everything that goes right is a fluke, everything that goes wrong is the managers fault.

Everything that went right before Christmas was the previous managers doing, everything that went wrong was bad luck.

You said that the numpty needed several years in charge before he could be judged, you've done nothing but criticise Mancini from day 1. For o e of the blandest people in football he certainly does inspire loyalty in some.

But drop the facade of neutrality please.
 
Would be a total disaster. To me it might sound arrogant but the Europa League is just pointless, far too many games for an average trophy. To me finishing 5th would mean nothing, need the top 4 to make the next step in our progression. Only way to attract the truly world class players. And don't forget after Fulham 5 of our last 8 matches are at home of which two are against teams competing with us for that 4th spot.

However 4th in the league is champions league qualifying round, winning the europa league is europa league qualification.
