Got no problem with players going to Saudi for money, after all, that's why players come to the PL
Universal translator will boil over in minutes laa
It will fail because no one is, or will be, arsed about it, regardless who they sign or how much money they pump into it.Get in, get paid, and get out.
I can understand players joining the MLS as you get to live in and travel around America which is a wonderful country. But is it possible to enjoy Saudi Arabia. Not least of all the dangers facing female relatives who might accompany the players going over there. Thats the core reason why Saudi football will fail. The country itself is backwards.
They dont even let women play football in the country because it reveals the knees and ankles.
Probably less chance getting shot in saudi.Get in, get paid, and get out.

50 years is not a long time in the Arab world. It will fail because no one is, or will be, arsed about it, regardless who they sign or how much money they pump into it.
I'll only ever be invested in Manchester City and whatever league we reside in, and the vast majority of fans and supporters of other 'clubs' in their respective leagues feel the same. I might watch the odd La Liga game, such as El Clasico, or the Old Firm derby (generally to see them kick fuck out of each other), but there's only so much time I can devote to football, and my club takes up about 99.99% of the time I'm prepared to give.
Just because the Saudi Sovereign Fund doesn't need to rely on commercial revenue to finance their league infrastructure doesn't mean it will be able to hoover up the very best players in their prime. In the short term I imagine it will continue to pay exorbitant fees for players looking for a final payday, or for second raters without any real aspirations or ambition left in the game, but that's not particularly something people will tune into watch.
