In all fairness the majority of clubs would pay £16m for Edouard Mendy. Even 25m for Koulibaly etc. I do think there’s a connection but these are also good footballers going to a league who wanted to improve them.

Mendy was superb a few seasons back, really cheap move to Saudi and also Koulibaly.
