Noooooo. MEN reporter is on Talk Sport beating up on our Dave.

He is saying he is not up to the job
someone needs to have a word with him before he ruins all our hard work

I am going to email the editor to complain. This must be stopped.

There shouldn't be a problem. Wee Davey has said that finishing anywhere in the second quarter of the PL (that's second quarter from the top) will not deter the world's best players from joining the Trafford Galacticos. Sky are currently showing that every tom dick and top team has suffered the same fate of finishing WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY DOWN the season after winnin' it - The Darwen Arms, Juve, Valencia etc etc etc! And most world class players will be generous to a fault and help out in their time of need.

Please tell me you are joking here?
Leaving aside the unpalatable fact of actually wanting the rags to win any game, ever, why the fuck would you want them to progress further in Europe than we did, with the unlikely but not impossible chance of them bumbling their way through and winning the fucking thing?
We have a derby game coming up - going out of Europe, and the resulting infighting and recriminations will play havoc with their morale.
Moyes has come out and stated that he will be given time, even if, (when), they lose tonight.
Wanting a rags win tonight just doesn't compute for me.
Well if you'd read the rest of my post you'd see that I want them to have just enough hope of turning it around to retain Moyes for next season, especially to (mis)spend their 'war chest' during the summer. Logic says he should go, sentiment, deference and 'tradition' say he needs time. I don't know what United's management will do (bearing in mind also that Woodward is as useful as a chocolate teapot), but I want Moyes to linger there a while longer to completely drag them down into the dirt and if the price of that is progression past Olympiakos (ffs!) then I'm OK with that. No way will they win the CL. Are you joking?! Highly likely to be smashed by a big club in the next round. On form we should smash them anyway, no matter what their morale.

Noone saying that Moyes' position is safe and he will be given time means anything in reality.
I'm with nijinsky on this one. Get beat tonight and it will further damage their morale ahead of the Derby and at the same time eliminate the possibility that they could do a Chelsea.
Win on aggregate tonight and then beat the Hammers and they could be in a buoyant mood for the Derby. Unfortunately I think this is the most likely outcome which means we will have to be at our best to beat them on the night.
Oh ye folks of little faith! This is a long game we're playing here. It's all going nicely to plan.

I fear this will not prove to be the case. Would the Glazers trust him to buy a loaf of bread? My concern is they would not.

Which suits their purpose, i.e. they don't want to spend any money in the first place :)

Good point that.
Keep a manager like Moyes, it lowers ambitions and expectation levels and means you only have to spend enough to maintain top 4 levels without the requirement of actually winning anything.
Hey presto - Arsenal part 2 !

Davey should use the rest of the season to try some of brought up through the ranks kids such as Jones, Salling and little pea in there proper positions. The fans will back him then as the swampies love there yuff #SOD
