It was quite obvious that Davey's recruits, Fellaini and Mata and his Protégé Rooney were, apart from De Gea, the only ones putting in any effort last night. Except for a couple of blocks in defence It's quite clear that the other 8 are still in mourning for the inspirational Sir Alex of Govan.

An excellent and hugely perceptive point Carver. We need to apply the Kübler-Ross 5 stages of Grief model to understand this scenario.

Stage 1 - Denial. Wee Davey is the Chosen One who will lead the rags to further glory.
Stage 2 - Anger. The reported bust-ups between Davey and Camelgob/van Pussie.
Stage 3 - Bargaining. Potato Head's new contract and paying £27.5m for mop head. Or maybe that could be "if we just win the next 5 games everything will be alright"
Stage 4 - Depression. Last night they looked pretty downhearted.
Stage 5 - Acceptance. Starting to see some signs of this but still a way to go before they complete the transition from Depression.

Feel guilty now. We abandoned Wee Davey in his hour of need. The most hurtful song was surely "Moyesy give us a wave" or was it "five more years"

He almost made us eat our words when be brought Valencia on and instructed him to keep lumping diagonal balls into the box.

Is it too late to get the Save Our Dave campaign back on track? After all he has now been given a vote of confidence by Sir Bobby (the truth will come out) Charlton.

We need to broaden the campaign. So as of today, running alongside #SOD, #SOB has started. SAVE OUR BANNER

Thankfully the Glazers and Manchester United are already fully behind and committed to the new campaign.

Last night they sent stewards to protect the banner.

United fans have are already begun a campaign to remove the banner, and to deface it.
