What hasn't dawned on most rags is that TT is doing exactly what the Glazers want, which is keeping them in the top four (hopefully). They aren't bothered about exciting football or any of that crap. They'll take any old result as long as they get into the CL. They were probably even delighted with playing a qualifying game as it's more dosh (£4m per home game).

Europa League ain't ideal in some ways but there's an extra round so there's an extra game and they would expect at least a couple more home games, more likely 3. So that's at least 3 home games more than going out in the CL last 16, which adds a minimum of £12m to their match-day revenues. And even better, if they're in the EL, they won't have him banging on the door to spend the money he's need to build a CL winning team.

As long as they finish in the top 4, he should be fine.
