Save Our Peg

This is so true. United are a dinosaur club from the dressing room to the boardroom. The Glazers have hardly invested anything in the infrastructure. The organisation is built for failure. The model is based on taking as much money out as possible with short-term transfer purchases based more on a quick headlline in Asia than any long-term vision. It's brilliant to watch it happening. The only risk for us City fans is a big takeover from someone with deep pockets but the Glazers will hang on to their cash cow for years because they have so much debt they have no choice. Happy days.
The longer the Glazers hang on without properly investing in the team and infrastructure, the bigger and costlier the rebuilding job for any potential new owners. That will bring down the price and lessen the attraction for someone to buy and make it less worthwhile for the Glazers to sell at what will be a lower price than they would be expecting. That being the case, hopefully the Glazers would be forced to hang on, all the while regressing the whole organisation through lack of proper investment and turning it into that other 'istree club down the M62.

He would probably get it right eventually but fortunately for the rest of the league and especially us this would probably be beyond his standard 'dwell time'. The down side of that is united cannot keep getting poor managers and will no doubt get one that knows what they are doing. So we must support peg, keep the faith and enjoy it whilst he lasts.

History doesn’t tell us that he gets it right eventually. The opposite in fact. He has an initial positive impact and then he causes rifts mainly due to his inability to admit his own shortcomings to himself.

He's become a 'massive' parody of himself. He's at the right club.

They still aren't,they just refuse to admit it.

massive problem for them - the best they can do is to admit that they were right the man they wanted and they brought to the club isn't up to the job - not a credible stance and deffo not when this would the the 3rd on the spin

I like Maureen at the rags because not only is he not winning titles (which is likely to be the case for any manager at the moment) but largely because of the horrible football style plays. It must be torture for the rags after their previous free flowing attacking football with giggs, scholes, keane, beckham etc. He also has a habit of bringing chaos to any club after a few seasons.

Doesn't really bother me whether Maureen stays or not, Woodward and the Glazers are the ones we really need to keep.
