What's Ian Holloway doing at the moment?

Rather unfairly sacked for keeping QPR in the Championship

Much similarity between Mourinho's and Holloway's approach.

Completely pragmatic. Work rate over creativity. No place for glory. Physicality is king. Both are buffoons.

In another universe, they could swap places.

As some posters are alluding too, it doesn’t matter who they get. Will tag @gordondaviesmoustache here as he gets it. It’s over, it doesn’t matter who they get, the ‘magic’ has gone. The myths that the press built up under the GPC era have been blown. They no longer nurture youth & organically grow first teamers, they no longer sit back & buy the best players at a fair price, (neither of which was true) the b/s of The United Way is now in clear sight for even the most blinkered. They are just another club, they’ll hire & fire managers like the rest of us, they’ll spend a lot some times & sometimes they’ll penny pinch to keep the Glazer dividends high. They’ll occasionally win trophies, probably the PL sometimes, they’ll sometimes unearth a gem from their academy. They'll sometimes sell their best players to the highest bidder. They are just another club in an outdated stadium with no room for expansion & just a mythical history to fall back on that had a couple of decent trophy laden spells between periods of mediocrity - this is something we could deal with, the entitled, shit for brains arrogant post 92 fanbase will struggle with it as they morph into Liverpool Mk 2

I wholly endorse this post.

Maybe with the performances of Bernie and Phil yesterday, we could loan them Merlin and Kev? Up until Christmas anyway, you know? Give them a bit of a leg up.

I agree with most of that although one thing I’ve found with my united mates is they fully accept what they have become and how shit they are, I imagine there’s tits like Howson who talk nonsense but on the whole the rags have been miles easier to talk to than the cult lot

I am not going to be one of them that says he walked into a good squad so it is easy because it annoys me when people say that about Pep. I think for me though there was no foundations or style laid down by Zidane as oppose to what Pep did at Barca. I think being who he is will command respect from a dressing room absolutely and you cannot knock winning the champions league as much as he did, I'm just not convinced. Will be interesting to see how he fairs in his next job.
I fucking hate the CL. The press/marketing wankers have done a magnificent job. Zidane held up to be the great manager, when he's won a cup competition. That's all it is, a cup competition, and with the seeding system it's even tilted in favour of the big teams. So, the best team in Europe can't even win their own league - it's bollocks. I hope he does get the Rag job, as he'd be absolutely zero threat to us.

Spot on in so many points your think it had measles Great stuff

Mourinho will not last another month at the Swamp if Woody doesnt get any more signings , PEG will realise his squad is not on the same planet as ours , even the Dippers , Spurs, Arse and the Chavs have better squads , if PEG did stay at least he can look forward to another glorious Europa Cup campaign in a couple of years. But i am not sure the Merc was aware how shite the Rags were when he signed his £90m contract in January , he will have a nice bank balance at the end of his career , but his medal haul will not be something he can show his grandkids with any pride , Money grabbing c*nt.

The board are keeping their money for next manager, PEG is finished and is using lack of signings as a damage limitation for his next job and it isnt his fault. All we need is a few violins
