Save Our Peg

Big concern I have when Peggy goes is that they’ll chance into a manager who actually knows what the fuck they are doing. I’m hopeful Zidanes ego is big enough to give it a go as I feel he will be found wanting when not handed a team of galacticos on a plate.

We had the same concerns in the Save LVG thread.

At least he says it as it is.

I think he speaks as a lover of utd rather than a know-all. There are a lot worse rags than Scholes.

Yeah I've never had a problem with him tbh. He's a rag, but a genuine one and he won't tow the company line just to get pats on the back.

It's looking bad chaps.
Still surely Jose will keep the Bears at bay with a win over Newcastle.
Just like Wee Davy it would seem the Utd mangler just can't do well enough to keep his job and still fail.
Still £450m spunked on absolute shit isn't too shabby.

He has to go this week. Have you seen their run over the next two months? Us, Chelsea, Juve twice...unless they've written off the season and want him to be to blame for it.

They were fighting in the Stretford End last night, someone said. Under the lights on a European night. Never a good sign.

It pains me to say this but this thread is doomed. :-(

Why worry?

This is glorious.

No one's going to manage them for free. Pressure will be on to cough up huge money for Zidane or similar name, but in reality they can afford no one.

Then you have a severance package that will go in to ten of millions.

Now you need to cough up 500 mil to balance the squad because they are shot.

So they snap PSG's hands off for Pogba money, who then panic because of FFP and suddenly we move in for Mbappe and PSG need cash.

Now if the rags crash out of Europe early this year which is possible, how much money are they down? Even getting top 4 for next years CL looks an unlikely task.

Now they've to pay Sanchez crazy money with no CL income, and will likely fail FFP if they crash and burn in Europe.

Oh and have we mentioned the Glazier debt yet?

What about Woodward's severance if they blame him?

I'm starting to believe that if they go out of Europe this year, they can't fix this.

This is a glorious time to be alive.

Noticed the (lack of) class of 92 were all there last night circling like vultures over a wounded animal.

Although Newcastle shouldn’t be insurmountable, Rafa will undoubtedly triple-park the bus. Unless there’s a positive backlash from the rag footsoldiers, there could be more doom, gloom and exasperation this weekend.

It has been fun watching them suffer and personally I would like the suffering to continue as long as I am alive. I just hope their next appointment is another car crash waiting to happen as so obviously PEGs appointment by them. Would also be nice if he could hang on till after the Derby I dont want new manager syndrone kicking in. :-)

Now that would be beautiful. Oblivion beckons.
