Exactly. O'Farrell and McGuinness never stood a chance with Busby in the boardroom. Legend has it that he used to be on the sidelines at the Cliff watching training, even though he'd retired.
There were stories that he also had some role in Docherty being sacked, although it was rumoured that the Bishop of Salford had some influence in that as well.

Wasn't Busby a devout catholic? He wouldn't have been too impressed with Docherty being buried up to the hilt in the physio's wife.
