Save Our Ruben Interim

We need to redouble our efforts this coming season. The response last season (indeed, pretty much every season since Govan's finest packed it in) has been, at best, lackadaisical. Do you lot want them to eventually get someone who knows what he's doing?

We’ve been saying that pretty much since the latter days of Gollum's tenure.

'Get someone who knows what he's doing'?

The managers that refuse to even contemplate going there know what they are doing.
Those that go there know they will be sacked and therefore get a huge pay day, they definitely know what they are doing.
So who are these mythical managers you speak of?

This is true. But eventually, the law of averages suggests that they will land on someone decent. FWIW (not that much, granted), I thought that LVG was the one they should have persevered with. More so than PEG. The rest of them have been pretty clueless.

Pulis, Allardyce, Potter, O'Neal?

I know this is a Save Ammo' thread but if Allardyce went there I would be on the piss for a week
If Pulis went there I'd need a new kidney.
But ...... in truth, the rags would never appoint them and there's the problem for them. Brilliant isn't it.

I can see Fat Sam getting the call around February to weave his avoid relegation magic
Want take much to tweak the blast it up front and hope for the best system they’ve so heavily invested in

There's more chance of Lord Lucan winning the derby on Shergar

The concept of this thread is faulty.

It seems to claim that, please, please, retain Ruben Amorim as manager so that United will continue to fail; whereas no manager will make a whit of difference, absent a huge shakeup in ownership.

Manure are full of malcontent players who don't give it their all every single game. The culture at Manure is toxic.

And their manager - whomever it is - doesn't seem to actually have final say on who starts and who does not. Somebody above the manager has an open door for players to come in and complain - and if Manure have invested heavily in the complaining player - the manager is instructed to back off.
===
TL/DR - Hoping that Ruben Amorim remains manager at Manure is misguided - if you really hate Manure, you'll hope that ownership doesn't change. And if you really, really, really hate Manure - you'll actually hope that Ruben is fired and is replaced by some other manager with a completely different system which requires a massive change in players to implement - completely undoing whatever progress Ruben has made towards implementing his own system.

He’s Ten Haag in a nice coat. That’s it - he’s just as shit but a nicer dresser and has spent time on his image. He understands the need for good PR. But he’s not a good football manager

I can't see any progress, on or off the pitch. It's like they are just making things up as they go along, winging it. There appears to be no set plan from the Glazers and/or Worzel - other than hiring and firing managers and playing staff. The transfer strategy (if it exists) seems to be find a marquee signing, get the tabloids and the media to hype him as the next big thing, then when it's apparent the player's not up to pro standard, dump him in the lower leagues, here or abroad, whichever is most likely to go under the radar and attract negative attention, then rinse and repeat.

We can come back this time next year and the scenario at the shit-pit will not have changed: they will still be a club without a direction, without a blueprint for the future, without any hope of improving things.
They will still be selling the plastics from Thailand, Pakistan, Japan etc, the same old bullshit about forthcoming signings, advertising deals, a sparkling new stadium to rival the very best, the same-old, same-old.
