I think Savinho has panicked.

Prior to Carlo getting the Brazil job, he played in the 5 WC qualifiers, once Ancelotti got the job, he didn't even get picked for the squad.

I think he knows he won't make the squad next summer under Carlo with the lack of minutes he will receive this season.

Bobb is better than him, Foden and Cherki will likely start on the right wing and cut in every now and again, and Doku and Marmoush have the left.

I am a huge believer in savinho and I think we'd have regretted this one. Bags of potential on this one. He's shown in the past a level of solid finishing in front of goal and I think last season's profligacy is an anomaly.

We might prefer him to stay. We don’t have the space for extra players, not necessarily him, and his ‘wanting to go’ might have been down to the club struggling to offload others. Maybe that situation with others is changing.
