Norwich away and Ipswich away in the 70s,never any trouble.
Yeh, that was pretty bad, we were well outniumbered and the carpark was carnage. Quite a few stabbings. Few tasty offerings had with St Pauli fans at the Hamburg friendly under Keegan. I remember having to fight back to the station v Luton in the League cup away match after our coaches laid on to transfer from the station got trashed on the way in
This one for me as well. Thinking about it it might have been earlier. I was about 16 which would make it '80everton away 86 or 87 or 88 cant remember, league cup quarter or semi, midweek, absolute bedlam after the game, even on the train coming out of edge hill
The only trouble I had had in East Anglia was when we went to Ipswich once in the late 60s on a Maynes coach. We got there about 8 in the morning, and went playing football in a park near the ground.Norwich away and Ipswich away in the 70s,never any trouble.
Was in there for that. Had a blast along the prom afterCardiff away when we lost to a Nathan Blake goal.
I have been everywhere and never seen anything like that in my life.
Before, during and after.
Fucking maniacs.
Blackpool in The Manchester pub was also a real eye opener for a kid!
Full Members we did ok given so outnumbered.
Fuck. Just talking about that lot on another thread. Mean.Poznań
Walked into the wrong bar at the wrong time ... and this was the night before the game.. honestly thought I was not gonna get out of there alive !!
Agreed. Chelsea were like the rags. All mouth when they had more numbers but no backbone.City's mob were giving Chelsea the runaround earlier in the day, I know that because I saw it. City had a big and tasty looking mob and while Chelsea's numbers would have ultimately 'won the day' they were getting scattered before the game
