Nah, it’s because when Laporte is left back it’s Dinho who steps into midfield rather than Laporte. Same system that leaves 3 at the back, just different position that moves forward.

It wasn’t the same against arsenal. Fernandinho stepped forward into midfield much more frequently than the traditional centre halves do.
